A custom wig is made from information about one person: what they want to look like, how their head measures, when they need it and where it is going. This page follows that same order, so you can see what each stage asks for and why.
It sits alongside the Terms, which govern the commission itself.
What this page covers
This page explains how TOKYO WIG CREATE handles the information you give us when you request a quote, confirm the details of a commission, pay for it, and receive it. The operating company is named on the Legal Notice, and it is the party responsible for the information described here.
What a commission collects
- Contact detailsYour name, email address, country, and the way you have asked us to follow up.
- What you want madeCharacter, source work, hairstyle, colour direction, material notes, reference images and reference links.
- Fit and timingMeasurements, fit notes, head-shape information, intended use, and the date you need the commission for.
- Payment and deliveryCheckout, billing, delivery-address, payment-status and transaction-reference information handled through the checkout and the connected payment services.
- CorrespondenceSupport messages, your responses at the finished-photo review, adjustment discussions and delivery messages.
- Site useBasic device, browser and page-use information, where the relevant technology is active and any consent it requires has been given.
Please do not send full payment-card details, passwords, government identification, or sensitive information unrelated to the commission. We will never ask for them by email, and we do not need them to build a wig.
Why each part is used
- To answer your requestTo understand the direction you are asking for, check whether we can make it, and prepare the quote for your order.
- To confirm before productionTo review references, measurements, fit, colour, style, use and schedule before the Production Start Notice.
- To build and reviewTo make the commission, run the finished-photo review, complete any feasible adjustments, and request the remaining payment.
- To deliver and supportTo arrange international shipment, answer questions, resolve a problem after arrival, prevent fraud, and keep the records the law requires us to keep.
We use your information for the commission you asked for. We do not sell it, and we do not use your reference material to train a system that generates designs for other people.
Reference images and finished-wig photographs
Your references, personal photographs, measurements and messages are used to review and fulfil the commission. Ordering does not license customer-provided material for advertising, social media, a portfolio or public display.
Photographs taken by or for TWC that show only the completed wig, work in progress or construction details may be used as described in clause 14 of the Terms. We do not include your name, contact details, address, order reference, measurements, private messages or customer-provided reference material. A photograph showing you, a customer-worn photograph or a photograph you created requires separate express permission.
Send only material you are entitled to share. Characters, artwork and photographs made by other people may carry restrictions of their own, and those sit with you rather than with us.
Where it is processed
TOKYO WIG CREATE is operated from Japan and works with customers outside Japan, so your order information is processed in Japan and in the locations used by the services and carriers involved in your order.
Where the law of your country attaches conditions to that transfer, we follow the ones that apply to your order rather than assuming a single rule covers every market.
How long it is kept
Quote, order and support information is kept while the request or commission is active and afterwards for as long as it is reasonably needed to answer support questions, establish what was agreed, resolve a dispute, or prevent fraud. Transaction and accounting records are kept for the period required by applicable law.
Reference files, measurements, messages and finished-work records are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed for the commission, support, a legal obligation, a dispute, or a public-use permission you have given. You may ask what is still held for a specific order and request deletion where no legal or operational reason requires it to be kept.
Deleting something from an active system may not remove it immediately from a backup. Backup copies expire through the ordinary backup cycle and are not restored for routine use after a deletion request. We will tell you if a legal hold or another required retention rule prevents deletion.
Your questions and choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct something, ask about deletion, object to a particular use, withdraw a permission you gave, or raise a concern. Email customer support with “Privacy” in the subject line.
Which rights apply, and whether we need to confirm your identity first, depends on the law of the country you live in. We will tell you what applies to your request rather than applying one rule to everybody. If we cannot do what you asked, we will say why.
Cookies and measurement
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, and it may use cookies that measure how the site is used or how an advertisement performed. Where your consent is required for the second kind, it is asked for through the consent controls on the storefront, and you can change your answer there.
Any marketing email we send carries a way to stop receiving them, and using it does not affect messages about an order you have placed.
Security
Full payment-card details are entered directly into the secure checkout and are not included in our order records. Access to order information is limited to the people and services that need it for the work described above, and site traffic is encrypted in transit.
No service can promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If an incident affects your information and we are required to tell you, we will.
Children
This service is not directed at children. If you are below the age at which you can enter a contract where you live, an adult needs to place and confirm the order. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email customer support and we will deal with it.
Changes and contact
We may update this page. Where a change affects how commission information is used, it is described here rather than made quietly. For anything on this page, email cs@tokyo-wig-create.com — Customer Support explains what to include so we can find your order.
